Our AI Journey
Like most companies, we started small. We used ChatGPT to draft emails and proposals. Then, we got a little more ambitious, experimenting with AI-powered screen scraping to find sales leads.
Then came the game-changer: AI-powered automation for our Jira training courses. Updating Jira training materials used to be a massive headache—manually checking for updates, taking new screenshots, and revising content was incredibly time-consuming. So, we built a bot to do it for us.
Suddenly, what used to take hours now happened in minutes. That was our “aha” moment—AI wasn’t just useful; it was transformative.
We started teaching small AI classes and experimenting more, and before we knew it, AI had become our passion. About a month ago, I came across a blog post that said, Pick one thing and do it well.
That was it. That was our sign. One80 needed to go all in on AI.

As an experiment, I decided to build our new website, One80Labs.com, using only AI tools like Bolt.new for the framework and Supabase for the database, and Firefly for the images . The goal? Prove that anyone can use AI tools to build something incredible.
The results blew me away. With just $250 and six days of work, we built a fully functional, AI-driven site—something that would have cost thousands if I had hired a designer and developer.
And this isn’t just any website; it’s dynamic. Behind the scenes, we’ve built admin functions to manage blog posts, course outlines, and media. We even built our own custom CRM—one that does exactly what we need, without the bloated features (or monthly fees) of off-the-shelf solutions.
